Local answers, measured visits · Updated October 8, 2026
Privacy.
Your calculator inputs stay in your browser. That does not mean your visit sends no data: Google Analytics measures usage, and Cloudflare serves the website.
Conan makes and operates this independent project. There is no account system, health-profile database, payment form or advertising placement. You can email hello@yourdeathclock.com with questions about the website.
What Google Analytics measures
Google Analytics 4 measures visits and a small set of actions: starting the calculator, completing required fields, attempting submission, validation errors, completed estimates, sample previews, use of the meeting-rhythm control, calendar navigation, calendar generation/export and share destinations. Validation events contain only the field name. Export events contain only the format. Our custom events do not include entered values, personal dates, selected horizons, counts or results. Retired health-refinement events are no longer emitted. Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled in our tag configuration.
Analytics also processes visit information such as page addresses, referring pages, browser and device information, identifiers and approximate location derived from an IP address. Analytics cookies may identify a browser across visits. We do not describe this measurement as anonymous. Read Google's explanation of Analytics data safeguards and Google's privacy policy.
Cookies and your choices
The Google tag currently loads when you open a page. This website does not currently offer an on-site cookie-consent or analytics-preference control. Disabling advertising signals does not disable analytics cookies or replace consent controls.
You can use browser or extension controls to block analytics requests and manage existing cookies. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on; browser support and its limitations are described by Google. The calculator itself does not need analytics to run. Clearing cookies does not delete previously processed analytics data.
What stays in your browser
Your date of birth, country, sex baseline, estimated date, countdown and chosen calendar horizon stay in browser memory. We no longer ask for health-habit answers. The site does not send these values as analytics events or save them in a profile database. Calendar images and printable documents are generated locally at your request; they may contain personal dates, so share your own exports with care.
The site does not save these inputs in cookies or local storage. Reloading or leaving the page clears the calculator's in-memory state; files you downloaded remain wherever you saved them. The clock requests the same two public source CSV files for every visitor, without adding your inputs to those requests.
Hosting and request information
Cloudflare Pages hosts the website. Serving and protecting a page involves processing request information, such as IP address, requested URL and browser metadata. This is separate from the calculator inputs. Cloudflare's handling of that information is described in its privacy policy.
Retention and privacy requests
We do not retain a server-side calculator profile. Analytics has its own configured retention rules, and aggregate reports can have different retention from event-level data. We have not yet verified the current property retention setting for publication, so this policy does not promise a specific deletion period.
For a privacy question, email hello@yourdeathclock.com. Describe your request without including unnecessary personal information. We cannot identify an analytics record from a calculator answer that was never transmitted, and we do not guarantee deletion through browser cookie clearing.
Emails you send us
If you email us, your email address, message and any attachments leave your browser and are processed by email providers. This is different from using the calculator. Our contact address uses Cloudflare Email Routing to forward incoming mail to the maker's Google mailbox. We use messages to respond to questions and investigate reported issues; no automatic deletion schedule or special confidentiality guarantee is promised here. Read Google's privacy policy and the Cloudflare policy linked above. See Contact for what to include.
What sharing includes
The share action sends a generic description and the homepage address. It deliberately excludes your birth date, answers, estimated date and countdown.
Opening X, Facebook, WhatsApp or another external link takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices. A message or file you choose to publish there is handled by that service. Do not post sensitive screenshots publicly.
We update the date above when this policy materially changes. See Terms of use for the tool's scope and limitations.
